The league leaders Manchester City dropped points for the second time in as many games, which drew on Saturday 1-1 with Everton at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur missed the chance to go top of the table, but as even a 1-1 - could manage to draw at West Bromwich Albion.
Arsenal beat his rivals in North London in the second after a 3-2 home win against Swansea City and Chelsea moved to fifth place thanks to their 3-0 win over the defending champions Leicester City at lunchtime kick-off.
