Former Premier League player horrific broken leg suffered in the Chinese Super League

Demba Ba, the former Chelsea striker, Newcastle and West Ham in the Premier League, suffered what may be broken for one last race leg during a game of Chinese league.

Ba, 31, was playing in the derby against Shanghai Shenhua SIPG for Shanghai, if another player during a clumsy challenge collapsed. Video (Warning: it is graphic) shows the underside of her leg bending monstrous fall calf to the ground shortly before.

"This could end his career," said Shenhua coach Gregorio Manzano (via the BBC).

Ba, who scored 14 goals in 18 games, leaving Besiktas in Turkey for the Chinese team last July.
