
Steve Bruce praised Mohamed Diame "something magical" at Wembley Hull City to produce an immediate return to the Premier League to ensure.
Tiger dominated against Sheffield Wednesday, but had 72 minutes to wait Diame curler complete a 1-0 victory.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Bruce to go with Owls goalkeeper Kieren Westwood inspired form to keep his side in it.
"[We have] little quality to decide a big game. Diame something magic has produced and we won the game," said the head of the city Bruce Sky Sports.
"We seemed to have so many good chances. Fortunately Diame came with a wonder strike and I'm happy for him.
"I think we had the best chances. My best players achieved very good results."
Casco long he has been looking for automatic promotion, but fell off and midfielder Jake Livermore was pleased to finish the job involved in the way.
He told the BBC: "It's been a long season, we always had a dip in form at the wrong time and luckily it bounced ..
"It is a special day for all.
"We go to all the big clubs. We are pleased to be in the top group and to give something to the fans."
Hull left the top flight last season, but sealed with the winners of Burnley Championship a return to the first application.
