Aston Villa he warned can not expect an immediate return to the Premier League by former Villa star

The former striker for Aston Villa Dion Dublin has his former club warned not just wait championship in the Premier League to return.

Aston Villa's relegation to the second level was confirmed today when they went down to a 1-0 defeat against Manchester United Louis van Gaal.


Villa was unlucky in the current campaign and are at the bottom of the Premier League played with only 16 points in 34 games entangled.

Dublin, who had the Villa between 1998 and 2004, said after losing the BBC Final Score - Program at Old Trafford: "There are like to see to all go players and say thanks to the fans.


"On his body language show, which is a failure, disappointment, let the fans. It is simply not good enough," said Dublin.

"When you are in the Premier League, teams play against each other and the work that we have to respect.

"I think the championship will be a real test for Villa in the next year. They expect to come straight up."

Aston Villa are currently looking for a new manager, plans for an immediate return to the Premier League as they are intended to implement Cup.

It remains to be seen how well the Midlands outfit will be equipped when it comes to competition in the cut and thrust of the Championship, a league that includes a number of clubs who aspire to win promotion to the top flight.
