Sunderland has a rich history of Africa. It has some of the greatest footballers of Africa as Patrick Mboma of Cameroon, Ghana Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah, Benjani Mwaruwari, Zimbabwe and Morocco Talal El Karkouri home.
